What does the P&C do?
operates the canteen
actively fundraises to support the school with resources, equipment and infrastructure not provided by the Department of Education
contributes to the determination of broad school policy
encourages participation in school activities
promotes communication within the school community
each year the P&C contributes financially to the school. None of this is possible without our amazing volunteers and the support of the whole school community.
Membership
Membership of the Edgeworth Heights P&C Association is open to all parents and guardians of pupils attending the school and to all citizens within the school community. The P&C is always keen to welcome new members and particularly members who access or have an interest in the services provided by the P&C such as our canteen and fundraising activities.
Annual membership is $1.00 (one dollar) and entitles you to be involved in the decision making of the P&C Association. You are still welcome to attend meetings without becoming a member and membership is not required for you to volunteer in the canteen or at fundraising events. If you would like to become a member please fill in the membership form and bring it to the next meeting or return it to the school office for the P&C Treasurer.
Meetings
The P&C meets on the second Tuesday of every month, excluding school holidays, at 6.00pm in the school library. Anyone is welcome to attend including children.
Volunteering
The P&C Association is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out with our canteen and fundraising events. You don't need to be a member of the Association to volunteer, but you do need to be related to a child attending the school.
If you would like to become involved and help out, please see the office to collect a Declaration for child-related workers form. Volunteers will need to provide one form of photo ID with the completed form and return it to the school office prior to commencing.
